At AD, I'm behind 70+ people for SS BLRO
I visited an AD today to ask about the new SS Pepsi. I put myself on the waiting list and was later told there are more than 70 people ahead of me. The salesperson said it could take a few years -- or longer -- before I have a chance to purchase it from them.
I know I'm probably late to the game on this watch, but is this normal? |

Yes. You’re lucky to be #70.
With a watch with a bezel that is bluer than the sky and more red than a vine ripened strawberry in ceramic along with the venerable Jubilee bracelet you should feel lucky to be under 100 on the list. |

I don't know about 70+, but yes, long waitlists are standard for the SS pepsi. You are lucky if they even let you in the store these days.

Unfortunately, this is the new norm. The bright side is they actually put you on the list, but at #70 if they keep to the list, it may take 5+ years.

Yeah...if I was #70 on the list, I would just consider myself not ever having the chance to buy the BLRO SS from that AD. Ever.
Time to call a few more AD's, lol. |

After my recent experience with my AD and others, in my opinion most are generally full of $hit. They are not beyond lieing, conniving and using product availability to exploit their customers relationships. I will never buy from a Rolex AD ever again.

I'm high up on a list but I'll believe it when I see it.

70 is BS, but clearly that AD isn't interested in your business.

If any AD told me '70th on the list' I would 100% chalk that up as they didn't want my business. Look elsewhere.

That is absolutely hilarious.
They have a ‘list’ of 70 and will actually get MAYBE 2-3 this year! LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If they told me I was number 70 on their list I'd ask them what it takes to get to 69.

'Sure we'll take your name and number! Not sure if we'll be in business, if mechanical watches will even be a thing, if you'll be alive, if you'll live in this country, but hey, you'll get the call in 25 years!' It's honestly laughable. |

Nope. I've got my BLNR with a Super Jubilee and couldn't be happier. If you really want want a SS Pepsi with jubilee right now, go buy a used GMT with interchangeable bezel inserts and you can have whatever you want, whenever you want. I've even seen aftermarket submariner-like inserts. You'll save a wade of money and have a wait

depending on how large the AD and which city, Rolex will have tight supply on SS-BLRO
many smaller ADs in non-major cities might get 1 or 2 per year. Major NYC ADs could get as many as 12, but no one and ADs themselves don't know for sure. I think definitely from a distribution standpoint, NY, LV, and prob LA will receive the lion's share of stock in the US. do the math...it will be YEARS! That's also not including those jumping to the front of the line. For big spenders, they will get it regardless of list and whether or not they are on it. As i heard somewhere (or read)....ADs don't have lists its who spends the most in the AD that will receive highly sought after pieces |

I'm not really that into it either. I like the changes to the Deep Blue, and I like the blue dial on the WG BLRO, but I'm just not that crazy about the SS BLRO.

The Pepsi will be long forgotten about when the new Submariner is released in 2019. Might as well try to get on that list now.

Doesn't sound too bad. Assuming an average person wanting a Pepsi puts their name down at 4 places, the true list would only be about 18, which would take 18 months if they get one a month. Surely this is about the norm for a popular new release?
