Myself wish they would get rid of the Rolex rehaut branding then we would get rid of today's alignment syndrome. But suppose if they did that many would find something else to moan about nice picture.

Are the dials ceramic on these also? They look to have an extremely glossy finish which looks great.

i think the rolex bling ring has its place ,,, looks great on newer stuff , and helps keep the counterfeit guys at bay a wee bit too.
would look odd on plexi thought , although imagine what a super dome would do with it . |

I like the engraved rehaut too in my watch too, I need some effort to read it but ir gives texture to the dial.
If instead on the flesh I see a zoomed detail picture of the dial with the reahaut I do not like it so much, something similar happens to me with the Tudor’s snowflake hands, I like them on the flesh but I do not in a zoomed picture. |

I'm with you on the Snowflake hands, just look too overpowering to me in pictures when in reality they look just right. Regarding the rehaut, not so long ago I was seriously considering an Explorer II 16570 Polar. I convinced myself I wouldn't like the watch without the engraving and ruled out many perfectly suitable examples. When I finally found the watch I liked, I hesitated and it was sold I've since come to the conclusion the engraved rehaut, while nice, isn't really important at all. I'm sat here now looking at my Explorer, I have good eyeseight but unless I really look for it I don't notice the engraving at all. Again I think it comes down to pictures giving me an unrealistic view of the watch.

I think its a little too much engraving the rehaut, not really necessary to have Rolex engraved. Although I do like the serial number being engraved, now its not necessary to take the bracelet off to find the number of the watch.

I find it interesting that they have different styles of rehaut engraving for different models.
The engraving on your Sub has a large font, while my OP 39 has a smaller font and more subtle. I presume it differs based on the diameter of the dial, and height of the rehaut. Here's mine: |

As for aesthetics, I've come to really like it. So much that I miss it when looking at older examples that don't have it. It's not visible at a distance and in darker lighting conditions so I don't see it as being something obnoxious.
