At the Sauna with your watch, what to do?

SS of course.
Do you wear it in the steam room at the health club
or do you lock it in your locker???

Stupid ? I know but just going out of town this weekend with
my GF and we will be in the spa so was just wondering...

Much safer on the wrist than in the locker.

The sauna will have no effect on your watch.....so just wear it without any worries!!

I would use it in the sauna.
The watch will not get that warm since you are wearing it.

I would not leave it in any locker.

Thanks!
Just wasn't sure about the temp of the band getting
hot on the wrist, I wasn't worried about the watch itself.

I know the DSSD will have no problem in the sauna or whirlpools :)

I've worn my watches for decades in saunas, steamrooms, hot tubs, etc. If the watch cannot take more than what my own body is capable of then I picked the wrong watch. Luckily, I didn't and never worry about these things.

I will never take my watch in the Sauna! Not because the watch can't handle it, but because it brings back bad memories of me having to lose weight before a Judo or wrestling match. I will never step foot in another sauna again, nor will I ever wear another sauna suit.

What about the seals?

>>I thought I would do a search before creating a new thread..

I went for a swim in my sub-date and then had no-where to lock my watch up (read too lazy to go back inside) and went into the sauna room.

But thought won't my triplock seal melt / break down due to going from cool pool water to hot steam...

any thoughts?

No problems with the seals. I have seen seals swimming around in hot water and they seem to enjoy it.

Seriously the "o" rings in diver watches will handle far more extreme temperatures that you ever could so enjoy wearing your Rolex in the hot tub.

I agree with everyone else - no need to worry about wearing it in a sauna.

Locker is one of the worst place to keep your watch.

I always wear it to the sauna... never thought of taking it off. Only time I take it off is if I am getting a massage done and they're working my ... wrist... bone.

These are some of the questions that puzzle me...

Out where I live, it gets hotter than a jacuzzi, hot-tub, or a sauna during June, July, and August..

We go into those things to cool off..........

Rule of thumb, the watch will survive in conditions that would finish you off. i.e you can wear it for anything.

If you drop it...

If you drop it in the sauna, don't bend over to pick it up... just walk away
