DJ 116234 with two tone dial to purchase new.

Hello fellows, this is Bruno from Italy. I've narrowed down to my next purchase: Datejust 36 116234 on super Jubileč bracelet. So what's the issue? I'd like it new with the two tone steel/silver index dial ... which is no longer in production (maybe from 2011). I'd also rather not have a roulette date. I want a perfectly grey-scale DJ. 😂 Do you think I can find it in the EU? Or how could I get it? A new DJ and immediately replacement dial from AD? Any advice will be welcome.

Currently I own the TT 116233 Datejust which is quite coloured with it's yellow gold/silver-grey contrast and black dial.

The steel/silver dial is no longer available in the official Rolex site so it may be discontinued as you mentioned. You might still be be able to find it new from the grey market. Based on the diagram someone post here before, this dial seems always comes with the roulette date.

Thank you very much. In fact, meanwhile I noticed that every time it is specified by description or pictures, the watch has a roulette date. But could I have installed a grey market dial on a new watch? I think, I'd lose warranty. I had a dial change on my current one, but dial and work come from AD who told me that in case of warranty issue, the original dial should be first re-installed.

If you want Rolex to do it, you can contact RSC and they will tell you what kind of dial options you can change to and the price. They will always request a full service on top of that and your total cost will be 1500-2000 USD. Not sure the date color switch option.

Full service even for a new watch? The dial is about 500/600 € and that's ok. I will check out with the local AD. I hope I'll have better news. 😂😂

Hello Michael, this is the right one, in fact. Meanwhile I talked to my local A.D. and they told me that this dial is still available from Rolex and can be fitted even to a brand new watch by them. So, now I've to see when a new 116234 will arrive and what will be the overall cost. The dial is around 500 €. I've the impression that even the all-silver SS&WG is becoming hard to get..

A new Datejust 116234 is incoming. Ordered through chrono24. The silver dial with indexes seems to become to be hard to find. I will post photos soon.

There seem to be some problems with who offers it unfortunately. As often happens, they post they have the watch, but in fact if you enquire, the waiting time is really long, they told me several monthes???
