First Time Rolex Buyer

As an avid watch geek, I have never been into Rolex as it never felt niche and exclusive enough. I loved AP, special edition Omega Speedmasters, IWC, Panerai. But I never felt right about buying a rolex - kind of like how anyone younger than 40 feels weird buying a Mercedes. It also seemed too mainstream and non-exclusive

This all changed when I saw the BLNR. Well, finally picked one up yesterday. Mounted it on an OF which makes it super comfortable and less "bling". I'm in love and can't stop looking at it.

A big congrats! Lookin' good! I am hoping to be the owner of a BLNR soon myself. I really didn't think I would like it with the Oysterflex, but after seeing your pics.....I'm lovin' it! I might do the same to mine when I get it.

Welcome to the BLNR members club! Greetings from a future member! :)

Thank you - hope to welcome you too soon.

I have the everest rubber as well - the difference between that and the OF is stunning. No sweat, lighter feel and more comfortable.

I should warn you that OF does not sit tight against the case like the Everest and Rubber B straps do. However, it has the same look and fit as the Yachtmaster - which I personally like for breathability (I was wash my hands alot at work and this helps air dry, instead of acccumulating)

Wow - you managed to insult quite a few things in this first time buyer post. You might want to consider covering up the serial number of your watch in future posts and edit the current post. Would think a long time watch collector of AP, IWC, and super exclusive speedmasters would know this - especially one that has made many Rolex purchases in the past.

Thanks for the info and for the feedback on these. This is good to know. I've never considered these rubber straps, and didn't really care for them too much until I saw your post. I didn't think it would look so good on the BLNR. Currently working on shopping for my watch, so hopefully I'll be a member of the club soon! :)

Wow! The black rubber really suits the SS black faced divers like your SD.

Been concidering one for my Sub - could I just ask if yours is Everest or Rubber B?

Thanks
