Suggested places for vintage Tudor Big Block?

I finally gave up resisting my need to purchase a nice Tudor Big Block. (Wish I gave in years ago when I first had this itch). Anyway, I’ve gone through the sticky of reputable vintage dealers, but figured I’d open this up and see if anyone has recently stumbled across a nice example for sale.

Any suggestions for this particular model?

Thanks in advance!

See lunaroyster.com, he usually has a few nice examples. I have no connection, whatsoever, with this dealer, however, have enquired about a few watches.

There are always a few for sale, certainly in Europe. Do your homework and use experts here. Be aware, as these pieces are rising in value, I’ve seen the later and less desirable models being sold as Big Blocks. They’re not!

chrono24...is your best bet. I've been some nice condition with paper and box. And like others said, they're rising in prices.

Craft and Tailored sometimes have them, and I see they have one for sale there now. I am not affiliated with them but I do salivate over their watches on-line from time to time.

Keep an eye on HQ Milton - they have them occasionally. If I were you I'd get in sooner rather than later, the way prices are going.

Hodinkee had one sell very quickly today with an 'albino' dial at $5300

The Big Block is my absolute favorite Rolex/Tudor vintage piece.

Crafted & Tailored, Bulang & Sons, HODINKEE and Crown & Caliber are all worth a shot. Chrono24 usually has some very nice Big Blocks for sale, but be sure to do your due diligence on the sellers. Also, more were sold in Europe than in the US, so that’s where many of the best examples reside.

Do you know which specific reference # you are looking for and which dial?

Like you, I waited a little too long to pick one up on the cheap because the secret is out, however, with patience you should be able to find the reference you want from a reputable seller.

I used to have a BB, it is one of the coolest watches made and the date function is extremely useful.

I parted with mine about a year ago as part of a trade for a 16710 and the main reason I parted with it is that I found myself rarely to never unscrewing the pushers to time anything.

Good luck in your search! I was lucky with a fleabay seller to get mine.

There is one up for sale on 10pastten, far from cheap but looks mint:
