Does anyone else have this issue with their SD-43 126600?

Hi everyone,
First time posting. I recently acquired a Rolex SD-43 new from an AD and after a month of wear I noticed that the inside clasp was rubbing on the inside of my bracelet. see photo -the shame of it all is that it rubs and scratches the engraved crown. The AD said that was normal. Does anyone else have that issue?-thanks

Get divers extension removed unless you use it. Also, this type of wear will occur with any SS rolex, as metal on metal will cause such normal wear.

Natural wear and tear. But I agree that you should get it removed. I removed mine from my SD 4000 - it gives the bracelet a better, more comfortable fit.

That is normal. Also most ppl remove the divers extension unless you actually will use it. Your watch will wear much more comfy

The issue with removing the divers extension is that it will cause ware on the links. I'd rather have the ware on the divers extension than the links. Just my preference.

Exactly, move one thing and rub another. The real answer to your concern wasn't to remove the diver's extension but that this wear and rubbing is normal. It will happen and your watch will be fine nonetheless.

This is true. Links in contact with clasp will always wear, regardless of whether its the divers extension or not.

Divers extension removal is indicated for comfort if the divers extension is uncomfortable. If not forget about it and just enjoy.

There will always be chaffing between contact points somewhere.
It's inescapeable.

It doesn't matter if one adds or removes a link or a divers extension or finetunes the glidelock adjustment, the wear will only be shifted around or along to a different point.

Live with it and accept it as a fact of life.
Or don't wear the watch.
Alternately one could put a little piece of clear paint protection film over the contact patch to stop the chaffe there. But it will still be chaffing somewhere else anyway like on the polished sides of the links where they touch the inside edges of the folding clasp. What will you do there?

+1 Wear it, and ignore all rubbing and scratching to live a happy life. These things are meant to be used and abused.
