Skydweller bracelet is smaller than the rest. Cannot get a link!

As has been covered, the Skydweller SS is a little shorter in the bracelet department. I use full links in all my watches...

I've asked my AD to order me an extra link, been waiting 6 months...

Can anyone help me get a SS Skydweller link?

What did your AD say when you asked where the link is? Just curious.

If David had one, he'd give it to me.

Which shows exactly how much you know about doing business with David.

He obviously knows enough.

Anyway aren't you the fellow that paid out the for a CHNR? You ought to know better than anyone, of course he'd give anyone a piddly link after taking them to the cleaners. Any halfway smart businessman would.

And yes, I can help you get a link. PM for info.

Assuming this guy is an AD of some sort, the irony isn’t lost on me.

I contacted the GM of my AD. We got it covered with a little prodding.

The beauty of this ignorant post, is the inability of some to read. Which proves my point I guess. Classic...

No. I did not get my chnr from David. From an AD. Like my skydweller, my Daytona’s, my LV, my... though I am most certainly a customer and supporter of what David does.

You get the point.

Skydweller bracelet is smaller than the rest. Cannot get a link!

If it uses a solid 15.5mm link, I have both a full size and half link with a polished center for sale in 99% condition.

I’d assume RSC in Dallas or NYC would have these links available. You’ve probably already considered that but, if not, I’d call them.

at 6 months wait i would knock on RSC's door personally. AD's take forever to get parts anyway.

Its bad all around. ..my AD said 6 weeks for a patek link. I walked two blocks away and bought it on the spot at the salon. So the distribution/stock situation at AD's is limited at best. What the shipping and delays are attributed to i have no idea.

Same thing for a strap for my wife's JLC. i did wait 6 weeks for that as well, despite the brand owned boutique on the same street stocking them. whenever possible i deal with my AD but if my watch didn't fit i would choose a more timely option.

Just a guess, but perhaps the GP% on parts is significantly less than finished goods, and they'd rather collate all requests in a single order and send to Rolex once a month to save multiple carriage costs.

Or there's a minimum order value for parts?

So did you ask them why so long? Did you buy from them or someone else? I can't imagine and AD selling a watch and not enabling it to fit. What's the ADs name so we can avoid it.

You know what? Normally I might mention an AD. But I am
A big fan of my salesman, and wouldn’t want any negativity to come to him. Sometimes salesman do all they can, but ultimately leadership failings cause them nothing but grief.

I don't understand why you'd wait six months on this. Any RSC can do it for you, even if loyalty prevents you from going to another more competent AD.

I have a $15 grand solution! Get another stainless steel SkyD, take out one link and flip the watch for profit. Probably take you less time than 6 months lol

I asked my RSC previously about the link for SkyD, it’s readily available both TT and SS.

This is madness. We have gone from threads discussing about Rolex watch shortages to watch link shortages? 6 months is over 5 and a half months too long to have to wait to wear a new watch.

Oh i've worn it. Its not THAT small....Just not exactly to my liking. Someone else had the same issue with their Skydweller. Its shorter than the other models. Not by a lot, but just enough to bother me.
