February of '69!

Here's one from February of 1969, with the dial being produced in December of 1968! This one is the 472nd produced!

Thought this one was pretty rare!

Beautiful "proof" dial. The blue dials on early Seiko's are pretty amazing.

Very nice. Seiko is a great option for birth-year watches....year and month serial takes the guesswork out of it.

Congrats! I was born in February 1969 but I never managed to find an example like that. Actually in all my research at that time the oldest I was able to find were from March '69.

Seiko has always said March of 69 was the earliest production models, but obviously some prototypes escaped before that. LOL

Seiko needs to update their claim to one of the first automatic chronographs!

I have one of these from 69 too (the non 5 sport dial), amazingly I have the box, papers, spare links and the hang tag too. Got it from the widow of the original owner.
