My second AD stop for the weekend
So, as per my first post today, on my way home....I stopped at the Palo Alto, CA. AD. I had to see what their inventory looked like, to compare with the one in Carmel. Just like Carmel, the only thing they had in stock for SS was 1 White Dial Explorer II, Airking, and a few OP39 and 36's. Other than that, they had 2 PM Daytona's and the rest were Datejust's. I am guessing there just isn't much demand for the Explorer II right not, since that one is the one that everyone seems to have. Does nobody really care for that model??
They are also a Tudor dealer as well. Interesting thing about them though, is that they were telling me they are getting about 2-3 of the new GMT Tudors a week. They stated if you want one, you would probably be about a month out to get it. There is demand for them, but they seem to be getting replenished fairly fast. I think they had 8 people on their "list" and that they could have store stock at this rate by the end of July. Just thought I would give some of you fans out there some updates on what im finding out in the world of Rolex. I love going to the AD's and giving updates on what is going on in the world. The one answer I do keep getting from everyone is, they do NOT know when they are going to receive the new Jubilee GMT. None of the two AD I went to this weekend has received one yet........ |
