I found all the sports models....
They are at Howard Frum’s in Chicago. Awesome place. Howard has been there for 40 years. I used to travel for work to Chicago every week and stayed at the Silversmith directly across the street from Howard. Never really knew he was there. Happened to have some down time today on a work trip and decided to go check out his place. Very cool and really old school. He has a lot of used and almost all the sports models BNIB. He had multiple hulks, sea dwellers, subs C date and no date. He also has a lot of Rolex parts. Very personable and easy to talk to.
He did not have any BLNR, BLNO, or SS Daytona’s on display though. Multiple of just about everything else. More stock than I have seen at any AD in the past month. |

Calls being made, plane tickets being bought.
Hope this helps some one on the hunt. |

Dig old school shops like this. The guy I worked with when I first got into Rolex had tons of used inventory and parts and was just a great guy. Sadly he passed a few years back so had to find other sources.

If I'm reading the OP correctly, they're just another grey shop? Presumably selling all the SS pieces at premium prices? Is that any better than dealing with the Internet powerhouses like DSW?
These days, it's pretty much all the grey dealers who have inventory, while the ADs are bone dry. Rolex is clearly failing to control the grey market, assuming they are even aiming to do so. |

He's a grey dealer....not an authorized dealer. Did you ask him prices?

Definitely a grey dealer. Probably no different than dealing with someone like DavidSW. More of a PSA for those that live in or near Chicago. Nice to be able to actually see and try on the watch instead of looking at pics. Had much more stock than the 3 ADs near me. So go a chance to try on things that I otherwise wouldn’t.

I've never bought from Howard Frum but have several friends who have. All good reports.

I went to Howard Frum this weekend on a trip also. No new models. Plenty of Subs, Hulks. I think there was one or two Daytona’s. Also saw a Milgauss Z blue.
No BLNR, No Ceramic Daytona’s. No skyDwellers. Nice place though. Op, did the receptionist in the first floor as you to bring back chocolate? Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Stopped in there 2 years ago while on business in Chicago on the advice of members here on TRF. Good, down to earth people. Large pre-owned selection w lots in display case.its nice to know where the good greys are these days to see watches in the steel that are hard to come across at ADs.

I have purchased 2 rolexes from him over the past few years. Reliable. Fair prices. Also has helped with service issues. Fun place to shop. Not open on Saturdays.
