No happy 4th post?

Happy 4th everyone! I hope all of you have a great day drinking lots of alcohol, shooting off tons of fireworks and unmentionables, a great day on the lake, at the beach, in a park, none of your American asses better be working! A day full of BBQ & IPAs. A day full of family and fun. I wish y’all all a happy Independence Day. Thank god we escaped those brits(JK love you guys... but still) Happy Murica day everyone. Enjoy your family, friends and everything this great country has to offer. There’s no greater holiday to celebrate life. And I hope you all have a happy, and safe holiday.

Hey guys,
From a person who's been all around the world and has an immigrant's prospective in the US, I just wanted to tell you that you guys are living in the best country in the world.
There's no other country I would want to live in. God bless America and happy independence day!

Yes, thank you to the Founding Fathers, brilliant Men they were. And thanks to the Men who defend it everyday, since it’s inception.

Thank you Sir!
Funny how I looked at your profile info and I see you're from Saint Pete, FL! We live in Tampa and were yesterday there shopping @ the Italian market (Mazzero's) :)

Small world sometimes. I'm glad mazzaro's is open again after the fire. I LOVE Italian food.
What kind of car is that? A GT 40? I'm into cars too (have a 458).

This really is an amazing forum, with people all over the world wishing us well on our Independence Day Holiday.

When I worked in the restaurant business, the Maitre d' I worked for was from England. I worked for him for 14 years and almost everything I learned about treating people in a business environment, I learned from him.

One July 4, before the restaurant opened, we had a employee meeting. The usual "Any questions?" portion of the meeting came up. I asked him if they celebrated July 4 in England. A slight smile and no comment, save him wishing everyone a good shift.

I've managed to stay in contact with him via email and social media even to this day, long after I've retired from both my careers.

Last year, still showing an amazing sense of humour, (English spelling in his honour), in his mid-80s, this arrived in my in box:

Bahaha I had British neighbors, when I was 12 or 13 I remember asking if they celebrated it. His response was something along the lines of “well, wasn’t a very good day for Britain” lol

Very nice words, Carrera911.
Thank you and know that they are appreciated.
I love my country but I also appreciate most other countries of the world.
The USA is blessed to have great neighbors to our north as well as to the south.
Beyond that, we have allies around the world, and in my opinion, no finer one than Great Britain whom we share so much of our culture with.
I won’t go on, and please don’t try and read between my lines for any hidden meaning. Most Americans love and appreciate most/all of the nations of the world.
