Your Last Meal

inspired by searchart's recent food thread, curious what your request would be in terms of a last meal.

keep in mind that you don't have to be on death row...just a matter of personal preference(s).

Being somewhat of a simpleton, I would probably opt for steak frites & a spinach salad.

Something that would take about 30 years to eat

Facing imminent death, I would not require a meal. I fear my appetite will have given way to more important matters.

Steak fries and rocket salad is a favourite of mine too.. keep it simple, well salt the steak 15mins before cooking, dash of red wine to glaze the pan.

I’d go for about 120 oysters from Saltwater in Inverness with 2 bottles of Cristal.

Back when I was single, my answer would have been a surf & turf comprised of A5 wagyu & Japanese lobster paired with a mizunara cask ‘17.

Nowadays? Anything made from a collaboration between my wife and mother.

Burger, chili cheese fries, country fried steak, fish and chips, shrimp po'boy, good ol' nyc slice, pulled pork sandwich, and a chorizo burrito ALL topped with bacon. The government can't put me down if I have a heart attack first ;)

I would probably go for a Caesar salad with anchovies, steamed lobster, baked potato, New York cheese cake, and a large glass of 25 yr old Macallan (sherry cask).
