Are diamond dials too blingy?

Which one do you think is better? I'm planning on purchasing a 31mm.

Those posted look very nice for a ladies watch. Gold dial, silver dial, flip a coin, they both look great.

Have you considered the 36mm ?????

I prefer the lighter dial but both are nice.

I prefer the lighter dial. I agree that you should entertain the idea of a 36mm. This is my wife’s 36mm Day Date.

My wife and I really like diamond dials as long as the diamonds are understated and on the right watch. This is my only diamond dial. My wife would have them on all her watches if she could.

IMO, not at all for either men or women. I have a diamond dial DJ and my wife has a diamond dial/bezel DJ. Of my collection, my diamond DJ is probably my favorite. Despite the numerous “can I wear it” threads, would be cautious wearing it at inopportune times (nights out with lots of drinking involved, certain areas, etc etc). Hate to say it but a woman with a diamond Rolex and any nice bag can attract unwanted attention.

Ultimately, to each his/her own, do what you like.

Definitely rock the diamonds. I'd say gold dial is more classic while silver slightly more modern. Can't go wrong either way. 31 and 28mm is all class.

Some are and some are not.

The two you have posted, and the Daytona and Day Date most definitely fall into the "are not" category. Beautiful.

Of the two I prefer the silver dial

It’s fine for a lady’s watch, but I personally will never wear a watch with diamonds. That’s just me though.

Agree, both ladies watches are nice. You might want to add a diamond bezel at some point. Wife chose a DJ36 franken-Rolex with pink flower diamond dial and it looks great on her.

Both are nice but I like the gold dial a bit more. Nothing wrong with a little bit of diamonds on the dial.

Time and a place for everything. If you’re self conscious about being “too flashy” I’d say try it and see.

You can’t lose with the original two! And no, the diamonds are not too blingy. This watch was made for diamonds! Get one and post pictures!

And good luck.

I would guess it all depends on your tolerance level of bling.

Diamonds on a mans watch? Yes, too blingy.

Actually diamond on the dial can be very scuttle. I’ve seen a few DJ36 with a diamond dial and it didn’t not look too blingy at all.

It’s own personal preference. I wouldn’t worry what others think it’s your watch.
As I’m guessing your a woman, I have seen lots of women with diamond dials and it looks great and not over bearing.

Don't care for diamond dials but the baguettes on the Platona are drop dead gorgeous!

I think the OP is a lady going by her username.

DJ with diamonds will create a 'statement'

I would choose the silver diamond dial.

What ever is better for you based on your reasons for buying the watch. I see women wear all sizes from 26mm to 46mm. Some women like classic elegant some like men's watches. Diamonds are great for all women and some types of men, if it suits their personality. My wife loves diamond rings and hates watches.

I´m sure you will "rock" whichever watch you choose; diamonds and females enhance each other.

Dial color could be better answered if we knew your skin tone, eye color, predominant wardrobe color, etc..

Of those two I like the champagne dial. Classic Rolex. Wife went 36mm DJ white dial with diamonds in SS and RG. She loves it.

Think all depends on the dial color and the size of the diamonds. Here is my Omega Aqua Terra with white dial:

And am putting this glacier blue diamond dial on my 18239 DD:

From those 2 would recommend the silver one
