I am sure they show less restraint with their private jets, yacht, vacation homes...

I think they are just trying to be less in your face with watches.

Unless they are WIS, they're beyond the point of signaling status with watches or clothing

For example, I'd bet Bezos was gifted that UN. I doubt he walked into a boutique and bought that for himself.

I have a pair of Billionaire partners in the company I run. One shifts between a Diamond crusted president, a Skagen and an apple watch. The other I have only seen his Breitling.

Breitling seems to be common on these lists, I wonder if it is related to aviation interests.

Attended a private event at Oshkosh last year and Breitling had the majority by a long shot.

For sure, I mean they have a display team and several other branded aircraft.
I have been going for several years now. Lots of Breitlings and GMTs

These guys are in charge of companies worth Billions - they are not Billionaires.

Tim Cook is worth nearly a Billion but that’s mostly in stock he can’t sell except a bit at a time.

The founders of some of these companies are Billionaires though.

The notion of being good with money and frequenting this place is akin to being a swimsuit model and being a fan of the cheesecake forum.

Breitling is very popular on other list like this I have seen over the years. It’s a strong watch/brand.

I sold a turbine floatplane to a businessman from Mexico who flew up an executive jet. He had a BLRO on. It was the first time I’d seen one in the wild.

I've actually been spitting then more often (seemingly) on people's wrists. I also love the appeal they've got, not to mention the functionality.
