Is it safe?
To wear a Rolex while meeting a stranger you know from an internet watch forum?
Going to Johny in Scotland tomorrow, for a few days Looking forward to it |

sure it is safe if as long as you met the person on the internet, same way with dating on the internet.
all joking aside, i met an elderly woman wearing a rolex and asked her to take a pic of it after talking to her about it. she went to take it off, and I said, NO NO, i meant while on your wrist and told her, dont ever do that again. i take the rapid transit in a large american city from time to time, i put my rolex in a hard case meant for sunglasses (and wrapped in a cloth). i put the case in my front pocket. here goes, people telling me to wear it and not worry... |

Personal safety comes first. It’s easy to say if you don’t feel safe, don’t be there, but you’re not alone in ending up in a situation/ location where having 10-20k on your wrist on display (worse case in Rolex form as it’s so recognised) isn’t a smart move. As to how dangerous a train is in the US, i can’t comment. But there are certainly some cities around Europe at certain times of the day/night where discretion is the better option.

Only TRF member I’ve met was a Jewelry store owner, was safe to wear mine. He also handed me a 6536/1 to check out which was a memory I’ll never forget.
Enjoy, I hope I materialize more of my friendships here. A lot of great people |

It is very safe.
If he try to rob you, you will not understand what he says so he will give up that idea. Just hang out with his lovely wife instead, she is so great and she speak english. Have fun my friend and send my regards.

Don't think I'll be squeamish or be turned off
I'm used to blood sausage and eating organs, raw fermented fish, etc. |
