Would you trade a DJ41 126300 for 2 Tudors?

If I trade my SS 2017 Datejust 41 and add a little cash I would get:

TUDOR
HERITAGE BLACK BAY
M79733N-0001

and

TUDOR
HERITAGE BLACK BAY
79230R-0003

But why should you do it? it seems that you already have two sport watches, the green 16610LV and blue and red 16710BLRO....Would it really be that great to have a black and a red Tudor with that. I would not need that...I think it is nicer to have a proper more dressy watch as the DJ41 in the collection.

I guess I'm just thinking that the Tudors might get more wrist time than the DJ41. I have also just got the new Pepsi with the Jubilee strap and Batman so these sort of tick the dress watches section.

I also fancy having something that I wouldn't mind trying more Nato type straps on and I can't find myself swapping out a Rolex SS strap.

I believe the S&G is on the leather strap. I wouldn't do this trade. Especially if I had to add cash.

No way.

And as coveted as the new BLNR and the BLRO are, they would not, in my opinion, tick any sort of box in or near the dress watch category; the DJ41 is much more suitable for such occasions.

I love the Datejust, so if it was me I would keep it. However you seem like more of a sports watch guy based on your comment. And if the DJ41 gets little wrist time, then maybe trading it in for two Tudor's is the correct choice. I am a big fan of those new Tudors, I think they look great. You can always swap back at a later point if you are not satisfied.

I wouldn't do this trade but then again I would never trade a Rolex for something of lower prestige. The DJ41 is a fine watch and perfect for occasions when wearing a sport watch is out of place. It's good to have that versatility at your disposal. Besides you would probably not wear them as often as the Sub and GMT.

I agree about the ceramic BLRO. Even on the dressier jubilee it is definitely not a dress watch. The bezel is just too loud for that. You can get away with wearing a 40mm black bezel Rolex like a Sub or Daytona and even then I would consider the pre-ceramic 116520 to be more suitable for pairing with a suit than the 500s.

I would look for two slightly used Tudors plus cash for the DJ41.

Not a trade I’d consider. Perhaps, ‘flip’ DJtowards another ROLEX.
Are you SURE you want those two Tudors?

Bad trade from just a value stand point as the dj is going up and those black bays get more accessible every day.
Sounds like you should either move the dj for a sub or keep the dj and pick which tudor you like best and get one of them.

Would you trade a DJ41 126300 for 2 Tudors?

As much as love my Tudors I wouldn’t go for this deal and add the others at a later date but if the Dj 41 is not singing anymore then,,,
Best of luck
