What's with the coronet on the crown? I'm pretty uncertain about just the bar underneath- is that legit?

...this seller is...

...normally straight-up. I have purchased from them previously.

...HOWEVER, it appears that he has missed one. OBVIOUSLY, the dial is NOT ORIGINAL. Should read Date-Day.

...LADY CASPER has been advised about the MISREPRESENTATION-personally, I suspect that he simply missed this one.

...either the item description needs to match the dial...OR, the dial needs to be corrected, with the latter option being the more appropriate action.

...BTB, GREAT CATCH, and attention to detail!!!!

Stan,

How about contacting the seller to make the needed correction if it was a simple oversight. There are no bids as of yet.

You don't know what a Rolex crown looks like? They used Rolex parts on tudors for decades

The dial is a poor redial or an aftermarket, in either case incorrect

Know exactly what the Rolex crown looks like. Look at the watch crown itself, though. Everything else I've seen is 3 dots under the coronet- this is just a stripe.

That depends on the version of the watch. 3 dots is the Triplock, whereas 2, 1, or the bar is the Twinlock. The layout of the dots will also vary based on the watch material, steel, yellow gold, white gold, platinum...

It seems all of his other listings are the right stuff and that's why I was surprised to see that dial from him. I'm sure he just missed it.

Line underneath the coronet means it's a twin-lock crown. Three dots under the coronet means it's a triplock crown. Hope this helps you out.
