Serpico YLaino

Does anyone know if this AD in Venezuela is still around? Looking at buying a watch from an individual with a 116660 and the warranty card has this name on it. Thank you.

It reads:

Serpico YLaino Chuao C.A.
J-31043551-0
Eurobuilding hotel

The "y" means "and".

That´s how "and" is written in Spanish.

With the situation on Venezuela, anything is possible right now. Check with RSC first.

Too many good places to buy from in Houston, I would avoid anything from a country like Venezuela

Uh, Venezuela is the wild west right now. Unless you are in the current junta you are in danger.

I think , from reading a great article about that store, that it closed in 1965 or so...

I’ve looked at the watch and all looks good other than maybe the typo. The watch was purchased in 2009 from there but the warranty card is blank.

Is there a particular reason why you seem to be set on this watch/seller?

It is being sold by a party with feedback not heavily related to fine timepieces. Are you the seller? Do you know the seller?

Have you checked other sellers with more feedback in the area of buying and selling fine watches? Is the price the attraction?

BUY THE SELLER FIRST

The price is the attraction. Not too good to be true but good...

I’d personally pass. It seems quite anxiety provoking for you, so I’d say just save up the extra money required to get one that gives you peace of mind. It won’t be worth it to end up with a watch that stresses you out.

Two threads on materially the same subject. Well then you have your mind made up. Go for it.

That's a dumb thing to say...especially considering the watch in question was purchased from the country 10 years ago. My 16600 is originally from a Venezuela AD and has absolutely no issues.
