GMT 126711CHNR or Daytona 116500LN?
I am currently on the wait list for the GMT 126711CHNR Root Beer 2 tone, and also the Daytona Ceramic 116500LN white dial. It will be some time before I get the call for either. I'm not sure that I will be able to get both in the next 24-36 months, so I am starting to think about which one I would like more. Most likely, I would get the call for the root beer first.
I currently have the SD4K, and older Datejust 16014, and a Lange Saxonia Thin 37 in rose gold. I feel I have most of my dress and casual needs covered. This next one would be strictly for fun and diversity. The Daytona is always to be desired, and I definitely like the white dial look for the contrast. I have no chronograph either, so it would be great to the collection. On the other hand, I also don't have a GMT function watch. The GMT master is similar in look to my SD4K on initlal appearance, so I may not get as different a look. However, the 2-tone of the root beer really sings to me. It is probably the only 2-tone I have ever liked. Was at the AD yesterday, who obviously didn't have the Root Beer 2 tone or the Daytona ceramic. However, they did have the full gold CHNR, and also a full rose gold Daytona that they let me try on just to get a sense of how the size and shapes of the cases look. Try to imagine the GMT in 2-tone, and the Daytona in ceramic and white dial. Opinions and thoughts? Thanks in advance! |

I'd get them both tbh, first the CHNR then when the D500 comes in get that or trade the SD for it.

I like both watches you're considering but between the two I'd definitely take the Daytona and I think it fits in best with your collection because of the complication and the colors. You could always add a two-tone CHNR GMT at a later date and probably at a discount because I don't think they'll be too hard to obtain in the near future.

The CHNR will be available before the Daytona but if only one or the other I'd hold out for the Daytona.

Mt generic reply: Just get whichever you like more, assuming you can't just get both.
Having said that, the CHNR is available in some dealers display cases right now, while the Daytona is not and probably never will be. |

Between the two and assuming the prices are close, I would go for the Daytona. It's a different dial colour and has a complication you don't currently have.

Having both is really cool but I'd pick the Daytona any day.

I'm waiting for the full gold CHNR, of course it's not at any of my dealers yet lol. That just looks so awesome. Tough call btw the tt and the daytona, other than the daytona is a little more classic, and the TT pops a bit more. What area is the dealer in?

I have both, if I had to choose one I’d keep the D500 without hesitation!

Daytona. CHRN really not rare. Will be plenty pre owned available in about six months. But the Daytona C will be special and hard to get for a very long time.

I'm on board with others who have answered, and say both as well if possible. I personally would go for the TT CHNR between the two, since that is a watch that I really liked ever since it came out. Sounds like you have the dress watches covered, so the Daytona might be the better choice for you in this case. Both are definitely real nice watches and you really can't go wrong with either choice.
For a GMT watch, no consideration for the LN, BLNR or BLRO? If you're willing to get on a list and wait, those would be in the same availability class as the 116500. |

I would either purchase the daytona or the full rose CHNR...then save and buy the other one.
