Icon20 Porsche debuts refreshed 2019 Macan

The new taillights looks good but I like the older style front view. Minimal refresh...blue car is the 2019.

Minimal is an understatement, but I do prefer the prior version.

Completely agree with you.

Like the rear of the new car but prefer the old front end.

Minimal changes. Like em both. As good as they look, they drive even better.

New Cayennes this year too. I sat in one a month or two ago. Very similar to the interior of the Panameras.

Agree with you 100% Larry — reminds me of how fond I was/am of the Xenons on BMWs vs. the LEDs — I always thought the Xenons had a more aggressive look....

I bet it is a fun drive. How is it with kids? I drive a 16 Mercedes compact SUV, which is the MB equivalent of the Macan I suppose, but does not compare to the engine of a Porsche. Maybe when my kid outgrows, we can think of getting a Panamera or a Macan... But not anytime in the near future. And when the time does come, we will have to budget wisely between a nice new car or a nice new watch

It's an absolutely fun drive! It's not really an SUV and the space is limited.. our kids are still young and they enjoy it, but it is definitely on the smaller side if you want more space for storage or will have tall folks sitting in the back... But I get what you mean.. the decision between a nice car or watch is difficult.. the struggle is real

I’ve had many cars in my life (makes and models). My 2018 Macan is one of the best drives I have ever had. The steering is unequaled. This is my first Porsche. I doubt I will deviate from this brand on anything I consider going forward.

Typical Porsche refresh. Good for current owners as not much going on. It’s a great car.

You guys make it hard not to buy a Porsche!

Love the look but would have to eliminate that black trim along the side. Some of the new Q7s have that, too. Not a fan.

Thank! The real key was the color Rhodium Silver Metallic paint was discontinued after 2018. The hunt for a 2018 with Rhodium Silver Agate Grey Leather interior was not easy but the Wife is Sooooooo Glad to have the combo!

It is the same to me - a box of Porsche parts that might’ve been better used building a Porsche.

But something in the story stood out:
“New Traffic Jam Assist technology allows the vehicle to steer and accelerate/decelerate in crowded driving conditions without full driver interference. “

Driver Interference?

I get the gist of the sentence - but now we are considered meddling boobiekins while behind the wheel?

Not sure about the new rear. Seemed to work better on the panamera.

Still prefer my 2015.

I don’t like tail lights that stretch the entire width of a car. Way too noticeable on a dark freeway. I love my wife’s Macan though, it’s crazy how such a big heavy car handles so great! The new blue is awesome. I’m sure the new design will grow on me in a few years.

I currently lease a 2016 Macan S and overall I have been very happy with the vehicle and the performance except for the worlds crappiest PCM/Nav System I have ever had in a vehicle. System has been replaced twice already and continues to have issues with voice recognition, location services and a host of other problems.

My SA at Porsche called me on Monday to tell me about the new model and made it a point to mention that the PCM/Nav would be two generations newer and thus hopefully not have the issues I have been encountering.

I really do like the look of the new model...even the rear end design. Not sure what I will do come summer next year when my lease ends. Had an Audi A7 prior to this and might consider going back to that or sticking with the Macan in the hopes of them having solved the issues I have in the current vehicle.

I have a current turbo, I like the light across the rear, the front is minimal, but the std led headlights and improvements there are pretty nice, the interior is nicer, 11 inch touch screen, vents down lower so it doesn’t always blow on your hands... Nice subtle freshening of a already good looking CUV.
