Tudor BB GMT Availability in the UK (London)
Just got back from NYC after missing out on a Tudor GMT in Wempe by 3 minutes. The purchaser was literally trying the piece on as I walked into the store! Timing was awful but was great to see the piece in person.
So I thought I'd look into availability here in London. Watchfinder have 2 in stock and are selling them for £3950 (!) while Goldsmiths (sister company to Watches of Switzerland) have a 200 person long waiting list which is getting longer by the week. Their Victoria store is currently getting two pieces per week and the list is growing by 5 a week. Seems as though demand for the Tudor is growing as availability for the Pepsi GMT becomes increasingly rare and more reviews of the Tudor go online confirming what a good deal the watch is. |

Don't feel bad, just wait a little longer, there are loads of ADs around London.
These are only the first batches coming in, there should be enough for everyone by Christmas I would say. |

I don't feel bad and am happy to be patient. Just thought I would share in case anyone else was going through the same process...

They’re not that difficult to find in France, if you fancy a trip.

I went to John Lewis on Oxford Street today, they have a long waiting list for the GMT. They had 7 so far, 3 in June and 4 in July. None of them made the display cabinet.

David Duggan and Selfridges also represent Tudor, just FYI. Intersting to know what the waiting time is there.

So - had a couple of updates from stores...
There's seems to be a limited run on production (supply?) at the moment and the next batches will be delivered to the UK ADs in October. Not sure what that means and how true it is. Either way - the wait is a little longer. |

retail price sounds high in euro doesn't it? even on a bracelet retail is £2790 so at current exchange rates wouldn't the retail logically not be not much over 3000 euro?

The GMT is indeed 3740 euro. Time to add 15% in the UK to give them the same average european price

They should have a special section just for UK ADs. Both the BB58 and GMT can be had here in Canada within a month. One BB58 sitting at my AD since Tuesday!
Not sure if the US is similar but can’t be as bad as the UK. Plus I take all AD claims with a pinch of salt. 120 people waiting list for a Tudor - I call BS on that one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I cant see why an AD would exaggerate the wait list as surely telling someone there are 120 names ahead of you on the list is really saying "go somewhere else as we aint selling you one" and they are in the business of selling watches
If I got told that I am walking away I also don't get all the "it's a tudor so there cant be a wait list" talk - you can buy nearly any rolex apart from the sport range and the sky dweller in stainless but no one doubts that the list on a new rolex pepsi is huge because everyone has as many datejusts as you want in the window.

You need to go out of town. I can recommend an AD but you do need to go outside London.

I'm on waiting list at my local Goldsmiths (Milton Keynes), I also have a deposit down with an AD in Glasgow who promised July delivery.
One from Glasgow hasn't turned up yet, not had any calls from Goldsmiths. I saw one in a window in Cologne the other week but was 3750 euros. I walked past a Rolex/Tudor dealer in Birmingham the other week, on the main shopping street near New Street Station, popped in, they didn't have the Pepsi GMT.

I prefer it on the NATO strap as I think it adds to the tool watch look.
With regards to the “Tudor waitlist” issue, it happens. New watch, great value proposition, extremely limited supply of big brother, no cyclops.... there is high interest. Not sure that it will last forever, but when demand outstrips supply you get a waiting list. I’m suite a couple years ago people would have scoffed at the idea of a waiting list for a ss Sub. |
