A Breitling guy buys a Rolex
After a lot of thought, I made a purchase yesterday and picked up a new Rolex Air King. When this watch first came out in 2016 it was the first Rolex to catch my eye. I took me a while to finally make the purchase, but I did and I love it. It wears a whole lot like my A17360 Superocean, its big and has some bulk due to being housed in the Milguass case.
So far so good. This was no way a knock on Breitling, just expanding the collection and branching out a bit. |

Variety is the spice of life!
No one said you only have to like one watch brand. I'm guessing the majority of members on here have multiple watches from various manufacturers. I myself have a couple of Rolex but also an Omega & a Panerai Congratulations on your new purchase... Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk

Congrats on the Air King! Breitling guy here too and I just did the same. New SD43 as of last night. I'm still getting used to the lack of chronograph complications and antiglare on the crystal, but so far the SD43 is a beautiful watch.

I have to be honest the lack of an AR coating is the only disappointment. I set my Superocean next to the AK on my desk this morning and the SO is clear and appears w/out a crystal. The AK appears cloudy in comparison. I read an interview with one of the Rolex executives and he was adamant they don't want the AR on their watches. He said they like the added reflection!

Wouldn't it be boring if you only had one brand of watches? Very nice acquisition friend.
