chances to get an SS at airport AD these days

Hi, I'm relatively new to the forum. I have been into rolex for quite a long time but never really pulled the plug. I used to have a plug in CH and had hooked up some of my friends for Daytonas or Deep Sea D blue in the past 3 years. Now that I want to buy one, this is just not available and the plug is not working anymore....
I have been trying to go to many ADs in APAC, HKG, SIN, IN, TW and none of them had stocks or would spare the time to talk to me.
I understand the game but still, it is quite frustrating. hahaha. A bit pissed against myself as I should have bought earlier when I could secure them.

Since I'm working overseas, I never really had possibilities to develop a relation with an ADs. Also, I think the customer service in HKG is crap as it is the biggest grey market in the world.

Now what I'm trying to do, is to check the ADs at airport as I'm a frequent traveler. Not sure of the chances of getting a nice piece, but I'm looking for a submariner Green to start.
2 weeks ago in the HKG airport, I came across a submariner no date. But I was not interested to buy as it was not the model I wanted.
Interesting though, is that the sales told me that he received it 4 min ago. He asked me if I wanted to try it on and I said no. His reply was, I received it 4 min ago, you should buy it, it is rare now and you can have resell value or flip it. anyway, I will sell it in the next 5 min. hahahaha.

What are your thoughts on Airport ADs? as I heard they are less inclined to grey market and do not have waiting lists.

Thanks!

I'm relatively new to this and was at Geneva airport earlier this year. Went in wearing my 5 digit Sub had a nice chat with the salesperson and was told that they didn't have a single sought after SS model in stock. Apparently this is how it is today.

Can't speak for all, but they usually seem to not have waiting lists, and anything desirable they get sells very quickly.

My understanding on airport ADs is they don’t do wait lists or hold watches. It’s pretty much a right time and right place kind of a deal. That said, it’s always worth stopping by and talking to a salesperson, you just never know.

In the past 3 week is have been Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Milan, Amsterdam airports and not one SS Submariner, GMT or Skydweller.

Also at ADs in Dublin, Belfast, Lake Como and Milan and same story.

Its a joke. I am buying a SS Royal Oak Chronograph instead of SS Rolex.
