Can Folks Help Me Assess This Polishing Job?
I've been looking for a mint condition, two-line, 14060m, which has been pretty challenging to find with box/papers. I came across this example which has been lightly polished. I'm curious if folks can help me assess the polishing to see if it's lost any of the bevels and thickness? Thanks.

I'm no expert, and obviously there's some wear on the bezel insert, but I think it looks very nice.

It's ruined, run away. Worthless. Criminal polishing.
OK, no, seriously, I was just channeling the typical response expected. I think it looks fine, quite fine actually. I'll bet it's expensive.

Top right lug and crown guard look pretty aggressively polished to me, but not too bad. And the bottom of the top crown guard looks to have a ding which makes me think that corner of the watch might have had some damage.

Try this
I have found a store that has 3 super nice examples of the 14060. They are priced right for the super condition. So if you have the means, this would work perfect for you. If you want an inexpensive sub to be serviced and enjoyed, this may not work for you. The person you talk to there is very knowledgeable. Tell them Scott sent you!

What do *you* think of it?
You’re the one who has to wear it. If you like then contours / polish job...great. If you can’t tell any difference from NOS, well...that should tell you something as well. That said, if you’re concerned, only buy what you can inspect in person. |

Looks like one of HQ Milton's offerings, the watch itself looks very nicely refinished!

Maybe just my opinion, but the bevel on that top lug looks sharp at the top of it, but seems to smoothen out about halfway down, and then the tip of the crown guard looks to round off like a waterfall. Plus the ding on the bottom of the top of the crown guard. |
