Need advice exp 2 or Pepsi tudor gmt

I currently own a 16800 sub and a new 114060. I am going to buy one more watch and it will be my last watch purchase for the next 3-4 years. I like the Tudor black bay Pepsi GMT which I’m first on the list 3900 bucks. Or a new explorer 2 polar which I can 6480 plus tax. I like both watches I’m open for suggestions.

The 216570.

If the Tudor was thinner it would be a tough choice.

I agree with the Polar here as it'll add some versatility

Explorer II, without a single doubt. You’re already spending $4,000 for an outstanding watch, don’t get me wrong, but for an extra $2,500 you can get an exceptional Rolex.

Explorer II in my opinion, it's such a good value in the current line.

too many rolex freaks here :-)
You own 2 watches and both are Rolexes ... At least make sure your third is not a Rolex
So in this case definitely the Tudor
But I would also look at other brands

Explorer II. I like tudors too but in this matchup the Rolex wins

That's a tough one given their prices as well, I'd probably just sway to the Exp2, but tough for me as I remember when you could get 20% off these, never liked these at retail, but different world now ofc.

Both are nice watches - polar exp2 would give you more variety. Consider previous version and the costs are closer too

The Polar Explorer II hands down. The only thing that makes the Tudor be in the game is the $3900 price. I own the Polar Explorer II and just flipped the Tudor GMT. The Tudor was nice but nothing special. The Polar Explorer II on the other hand is special to me.

I can't (and wouldn't) tell you what to purchase but I do know this about myself: every time I buy something as a "substitute" for what I really want, I regret it and end up selling the substitute and buying what I wanted in the first place. So for me, I have to figure out which of the options I really, truly want regardless of what I "should" or "could" do. Sometimes it's the less expensive or less popular option. Sometimes it's not. Well..... often it's not.... haha.

Tudor GMT. It's not a substitute.

I like both, and I also like $. I have the Tudor and am happy. That being said, I do love my Rolex.

I have a 16570 polar and the Tudor Pepsi (on its way to RSC for the date issue). From the price points you mention, it seems like these are the 2 you’re contemplating.

These are 2 very different watches. The Tudor I have on Nato, so it was $3500. I love it. It protrudes more from the wrist and has a little more tool watch like presence. And I like that.

The Polar can be dressed up more and fits under cuffs better. It also is a great “stealth” Rolex because the non watch population only recognize Subs. I can work in an environment where I don’t worry about my colleagues thinking I’m being paid too much. I also don’t worry about riding the NYC subways flashing either of these.

I love both in each of their own ways. Obviously, it comes down to what sings to you.

That's a tough one. I would actually do both and dump the 16800. Just my two cents.

Tricky. I’m wearing my 216570 right now, it’s the only current Rolex offering that comes remotely close to floating my boat. That said, one of my coworkers just came out my way wearing a GMT on a bracelet and it’s absolutely delightful, looks fantastic, specwise hammers the 216570 and is almost a Speedy Pro cheaper. had the Tudor been an option last year, I would very likely bought that instead.

I’ve been thinking the same... BB GMT or Polar 216570. Came to the conclusion that I’ll get the Tudor now and when I can afford the Rolex as easily as I can afford a Tudor, that’s when I’ll make the jump.
