How do you use forums, this one in particular

Recently I heard many people say, oh I missed that thread, I never read that subforum.

Made me wonder, maybe it's my female curiosity, but I feel like I don't want to miss a topic, if I'm here.

So I always, here and on other forums, go to

New posts link (or today's posts) and scroll over topics that don't get my attention and read those that do, regardless which subforum they belong to.

On Tapatalk, it's the timeline link.

What about you?
Do you do the same or do you read only specific topics?

Maybe I should make this a poll...

I go to:

Open discussion
Rolex (less so these days)
Omega

That’s about it. I spend most if my time here.

And I’ll check out the jokes and meet up from time to time.

Open discussion first, Rolex discussion second. Occasionally I'll scour the classifieds but that can only get me into trouble.

Over the years, I've met quite a few TRFers. I browse the different sections to see what they post and keep up with them. Occasionally, give them some good natured ribbing.

Meeting fellow TRFers is the best, I've also met quite a few now, funny how we are all so different yet one thing connects us all.

Don't feel bad for Seth. He deserved that beating for not reaching out to such an awesome guy like Paul and we gladly gave it to him. Actually, I texted him this morning and poked at that wound a little more.

Spend more time on tapatalk on my phone than my computer. On tapatalk I can view by timeline which includes all forums and subforums so see a lot more than on my computer. Actually my preferred way to view the forum. Get to see stuff I normally would not look at.
On my desktop usually check the Rolex and open discussion sections the most. Still spend time in the vintage Rolex section but do not post much in there anymore since I sold all my vintage.

Hmmmm. I went 90% to Rolex sub-forum and 10% to For Sale forum when I first started. I probably didn't happen upon Open forum for a year and a half. I now also go to Patek sub-forum even though I'm not in the market for one and don't own one. But the perspective there is somewhat different than the Rolex sub-forum (why can't I buy a SS pro? where will the price of this be in five years? what is the best discount/premium now? can I wear a dive watch in the pool?).

Open sub-forum has been surprisingly interesting and I've been checking it a lot more than I used to.

No rhyme or reason to my choices. I start with Open Discussion then move around the forum from there. Depends on my mood.

Sometimes I laugh and quietly heckle the 'investment or safe to wear' threads then move onto whatever I feel. Sometimes the vintage forum, sometimes Rolex forum then maybe classifieds.

I prefer my computer because my eyes are not young!
I start with the Open Discussion section. That's where most of my friends are. I look at Rolex General almost daily. I look at other washes a couple of times a week!
