Daytona 16520 serial -P or Bréguet Chronométrie 7727?

Hello all,

What would you chose between a Daytona Zenith last of its kind P serial B&P in a good condition (but not mint, with light hair scratches) or a brand new Breguet Chronometrie white gold.

One is a collectable watch not yet vintage but getting close to it, the other is new, highly technical, with its balance wheel holding with 2 magnets.

They are at equivalent price.

Your thoughts?

On what basis would you like to try and compare these? Two very very different watches.

Assuming you will wear the watch then which best suits your day to day? 16520 is a go everywhere watch, very versatile. The Breguet not so much.

For certain, in 10 years time one will be worth roughly what you paid for it (with a reasonable chance to be actually worth more) and the other a fraction of that.

Good advice.

As lovely as the Breguet is, it’s a true collectors piece because you specifically want that model/manufacture.

If in any doubt, Daytona would be the more sensible option as you will always be able to get out of it again in the future.
