Anyone Notice A Majority of Pictures on Chrono24 Are Around the Same Time?

So browsing chrono24 lately shopping for a Datejust, and started to notice... the majority of the shots tend to be at 10:05 to 10:10, with 10:10 being the most popular.

Its not just one dealer, either, but several... DeMesy, Essential Watches, Swiss Watch Expo, Swiss Time Buyers, Chronostore, Crown and Caliber, etc... And just to be different, all of Wingate's pictures point to ~ 8:20!

Any idea why this is?

may be the majority of the sellers know this is the best setting to show their merchandise clearly.

Sometimes I do the same when I post something for sale or trade. Sometimes that does not work if you want a clear visual of the markers on the dial or other features.

Yes, marketing, 10:10 and 1:50 or close shows the most printing and the date window

subliminal marketing. It looks like a smile and makes you happy...so you will want to buy more.

I sold a watch recently and a requirement is that you take a picture at those specific times

It’s an old marketing trick used by virtually all brands for many years. As others have said it’s meant to evoke a positive reaction due to the position of the hands.

It’s intentional, not coincidence that this time is displayed on almost all pro-photos of watch advertising.

On chrono24 if you aren't a well known seller, they give you random times to set your watch to to verify you have it. The 10:10 time is just standard marketing practice.

It’s the best looking time. Setting the date to 28 is ideal as well.
