After 5, I need a timeout!

I remember joining TRF in 8 years ago in 2010 and back then I did not know much about watches, not that I've become more knowledgeable over the years, cause I'm definitely not. I joined the forum with the hope of learning more about watches. Sadly I had only one piece at that time as a beginner and it was a white dial Milgauss 116400. Back then I was proud and thought to myself, "What are these people thinking with so many watches in their collection!" "You've only got on wrist, buddy!"

Through the years, the community of enablers have made this quite an expensive hobby . With the latest addition, a 5-digit Submariner, I think it's time to take a break as it's digging a huge hole in my pockets

I now know why it's hard to stop at 1 Thanks to all in the TRF community

Actually, it is very common with two wrists. But great seeing you doing fine with only one wrist. Also nice collection you got

Congrats on 27K posts Larry! You need to get up to 50K as well so no more timeouts...

I’m somewhat like you...I had a SS/YM as my ‘nice’ watch for 17 years. Then discovered this enabling forum (as you well put it!).

I’m now the owner and lover of the original YM, a BLNR, a Tudor North Flag (on bracelet, waiting for the awesome leather strap and deployment clasp), and, heaven help me, a Rhodium YM. I’ve also got a delicate 30 year-old Seiko moonphase and I, too, am in time out!

This forum is fun, informative, and *trouble*for your wallet!

Love your collection. Enjoy them!

Great collection. A good ole timeout is healthy from time to time.

Looks like you have become more knowledgeable by the looks of your well thought out collection. You really have 5 great pieces. I have one more on the way and I say I'm done.

Nice collection! Yup it's expensive but nice to know you could sell at any moment's notice if you need the cash. Unlike collecting other things where you lose so much off the bat.
