P.5002 Movement Then the PAM796 44mm Destro Luminor Marina with 8 Day Power reserve indicator on the clear case back. P.5001 Movement Finally the PAM797 44mm Luminor Marina 8 Day Power Arrow Reserve in Titanium. Powered by the P.5002 calibre. |

Thanks for posting, very nice. I really like the 795.
I look forward to learning more details (type of case back, type of screws) before getting too excited. ;-) |

47mm 8 days destro?
What about this one? Personally I'd like the destro without 8 days written on the dial and in titanium case instead of SS...historically pam have only made 1 destro with Bettarini case in titanium with display back (pam 117),the other titanium destros are using 1950 case as the base (345,368,569,579) |

Reminds me of Ducati in the old days......parts bin specials?
We have some of these mini hands ....stick them on. The colour doesn’t match...never mind...stick them on.

I like them. If you can not find a Panerai that you like in the more than 400 different models they have introduced just give it some time and they will bring something else out.

As a lefty, I gotta say that the new 44 mm destro is pretty much everything I could want, and I'm stoked on it. While I like automatics, an 8 day power reserve with a way to track that doesn't cover the face works for me. Also, no date, check!, sandwich dial, check!, right size, check! Something to juuuuust slighty set it apart (here blue writing), check! 300m water resistance, check!
I think that what they are doing at panerai this year with the basic revamping of the luminor line is fantastic stuff. It brings it up to par with the 1940/1950 models. I think it really helps to complete the whole lineup, where before the luminors felt a bit left behind |

I'd make one reply to several questions posted:
Another poster have replied that the pam picture I posted earlier is indeed pam 368,it was an LE of 1000 from 2011 The main thing about titanium is...it made the watch lighter and less prone to temperature change (you don't get temperature shock even though you place the watch in front of the AC or under the sun) and arguably it hides scratches better as it'll oxidize into darker grey color IIRC,Panerai have made model with perpetual calendar when they did collaboration with Ferrari back around 2007-2011ish,but I forgot the ref number and which movement was used in that model |

I cannot see very well on the pictures but is the dial on the 797 slightly brown like the 564 and 562?

I can almost like the first one, but the shape of the pr hand was much nicer in the old days, when it resembled the seconds hand, imo.

I don't know much about Panerai, but I really like what they potentially have to offer. I really like the P5001 with the PR on the rear. Is the PAM796 the only model that offers this?
Is this a watch that could truly handle daily wear and things like fishing, rafting, skiing, etc.? I am considering this watch versus something like the Tudor LHD. I am right handed and wear my watch on my left wrist, however, I think at these lower price points, it is 100% about being a tool watch. I much prefer a manual wound watch, but need toughness and water resistance. Thanks for the help! |

I have been wearing Panerai since 2006ish,took my 111 snorkeling before, earlier this year I took my 368 when I learn how to ski
I think Panerai can stand being abused, especially if you’re getting the model with 300m WR I walked the camino de Santiago with pam 345 on my wrist in rotation with gshock GW5000 Personally I’m also a fan of destro models, and there is only one destro with P5001 movt, the other destro with rear PR are based on P200x movement Some poison.... |

I am mainly curious if they actually are a tool watch that can take the abuse. 300M, I should be able to take it recreational scuba diving as well.

Need advise about my PAM 795 please...
Hello,
I just bought a Panerai PAM 795, 8 days power reserve, from online store Jomashop. Everything about the watch look really nice and very solid but there's one thing that really concern me. After reading all the posts about manual winds of the PAM 795, the crown should stops when the power reserve is full. With my PAM 795 it shows that the power reserve is full but I can still keep winding the crown even though I can feel a little resistance. Is this normal or should I return the watch to Jomashop. All advises are appreciated. |
