FS: 1971 Rolex Submariner ref.1680 w/ Red Dial

The iconic, red “Submariner” text positioned at 6 o’clock on the dial of the reference 1680 – Rolex’s first Submariner model to be fitted with a date feature – makes it one of the most highly sought after of all vintage Rolex sport wristwatches.

S/N: 3.0 mil - 1971

Case: Excellent case which appears lightly polished with factory bevels still in tact and shows light wear from use. Watch comes with an excellent black bezel insert that is fading to dark blue. Inner case back is stamped 1680 III.71. Serial and reference numbers are crisp and well defined.

Dial: Excellent Red tritium dial with warm creamy markers and matching hands.

Bracelet: Good oval link bracelet with 55 end links. Back of clasp is stamped "Hecho en Mexico". Bracelet has some stretch and light wear from use.
