I wouldn’t call it a fad, but I did find it to be a little too busy. I traded David SW last Saturday, for a Fluted Oyster Blue stick, and my TT Jub slate green Roman.
I had an issue with TT, Jub, and dial face. The dial just didn’t seem concentric, I didn’t like the gaps, and couldn’t make a solid call on what minute I was working on.also no Lume. David SW, was a pleasure to deal with... |

It's a masterpiece..and framed in a 2 tone rose gold jubilee bracelet and flutted bezel it's a work of art..
That's my dream watch... |

I was originally gong for the silver dial at first but decided not to play it safe, although I love the silver dial when this version came out this year in SS I was all in. I guess this is really not the Wimbledon dial because it's not a TT with yellow or rose gold hands? But fad? I don't think so..

This dial has been around for a while, starting with the DJ2 when it was first released, about 2009 or so. So, I don't think it's a fad. A niche following and market, maybe, but not a fad.

I had a TT DJ2 with this dial about 6 years ago! It looked good then and still does today so not sure it’s a fad, there’s certainly not excessive hype it’s a really nice dial.

Today was the first time I tried a jub on seriously considering it, I felt the claps broke it up a bit but I guess you get used to it?

I just traded my wimbledon dial datejust. I really liked the look of it but biggest issue, and it's been said many times in this thread, NO LUME.

It doesn't really feel smaller but it is lighter and more comfortable around the wrist and clasp. Somewhat noticeable. I also prefer the smooth and oyster. It seems more sporty and they shine well together. If you love and half to have lume this may not be the one.

That awful, random 9 stick is a non starter. The dial strikes me as a lazy effort.

I think there's a middle ground between "fad" and "timeless" -- "small but dedicated following," perhaps?
It's not to my tastes, personally, but this thread already shows that some folks love it. |

I've seen this in the flesh a few times. It looks incredibly 'bling' and different but for me, the lack of proper lume is a personal annoyance! I don't think it's a fad but it isn't a timeless classic like the batton one.

I love this dial too. There is a TT version and it made the look even better.
