Help Identifying this Watch

I know it's a new-ish BLRO, but the timing is suspicious. The picture is a screen grab from a Tom Selleck movie, "Jesse Stone - Benefit of the Doubt." The movie was released in 2012. The first BLRO (in white gold, ref. 116719) came out two years later in 2014. Did they make a change, two years later in post-production?

On a minor side note, leaving the crown unscrewed drive me up a tree. Yeah, I know that they need to change the time often when shooting movie scenes, but damn! Screw it in!! Wardrobe should just suck it up and do it right.

Hmm strange...the bezel colors seem closer to the 16710, but everything else matches the white gold BLRO. Maybe it's just the lighting. Not sure about the release dates, but if what you say is true, very strange indeed. Could it be a prop/replica? If so this thread may not last long.

At the least, I would say the bezel is aftermarket.

I'd say it's a prop watch, but it's well known that Selleck has owned a real BLRO since Magnum P.I. in 1984 and wears it often when acting.

Doesn't look like a maxi-case GMT, but the bezel is definitely fugazy for a 5-digit GMT.

Why is the crown unscrewed?

Yeah. I agree it looks like a prop watch or a fugazy

It looks like a maxi case to me, but the bezel has the 5 digit sheen to it that the new ones don't.

Because they re-shoot scenes and the time has to remain the same and not jump.

Else they have to adjust each time.

Looks like a bad fake of the WG BLRO.

could be a prototype transitional model. Not unheard of for a celeb to get them (such as eric clapton yachtmaster pictured below).

hmm life imitating art? Did the rolex designers see the movie and then rush to design the BLRO :P
"Take my new gold watch and include it in the shoot, so it becomes a deductible expense. But have the jeweler modify it to look cool - use the shooting budget for that."
