Trade 214270 Mk1 and 16570 for DateJust41 or Sky-Dweller

Hi All,

I have two watches that are not getting much wrist time. The Explorer I 214270 is no-lume random serial # and the white dial Explorer II 16570 is D serial #.

I have somewhat convinced myself that both these watches are redundant as I have the Milgauss z-blue (no date watch to match the Explorer I)) and GMT Master IIc.

I have been interested in the Sky-Dweller (SS white dial) for a while, however my AD can't get one for me anytime soon. And, I do not want to pay over MSRP as I can wait...

So, while I wait for the sky-dweller, I started thinking about trading two of my watches for a silver/blue dial, jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel DateJust 41. Both my watches, that I am considering for trade are easily obtainable if I were to miss them... Although, I may pay a bit more due to the steady price increases for all pre-owned SS watches.

What do you think? Worth the upgrade? Keep one of them as it will be harder to obtain later?

Thanks.

Thanks for the responses. This is a difficult decision for me to make. I have to figure out if I am going to become somewhat of a watch collector (hobby) or only keep that I will wear in rotation or ones that I have some attachment to it... I have a few Omega and others that have been sitting there unworn for months now....

The good thing about Rolex watches is that there is no rush to sell... Overall, they hold their value well.

I love this polar dial and hard to let go....

I can see some overlapping in your collection. Do you really need two GMT watches and two watches without a date? Only you can answer that. For what is worth I would not keep any watches that do not get wrist time. I would also wait patiently for the watch that I really want and in the meantime enjoy what I already have.
