Vintage Cartier collecting

As many of my preferred brands reached unobtainable level I have this past 18months built a small watch tool and book collection littered with a few clocks and barometers etc. As this too is now reaching peak I'm tempted to dabble in Vintage Cartier, in particular clocks, sunglasses, pens and lighters - anyone with knowledge or a habit? Seems a pretty cool hobby

My grandfather had a cartier carriage clock. Pretty cool movement. My brother has a calibre de cartier, also nice but modern.
