scuffs on daily worn Milgauss Z Blue

Hi all,

Have had this watch since February of this year and wear it every day. As you'd expect from a daily worn watch there are some scuffs accumulating on the watch. Would appreciate feedback on how others in the forum handle scuffs... polish/not polish, do it yourself vs professional, etc.

thanks!

Milgauss is scratch magnet, wait until service or if its really annoying you gently use polishing cloth

Wear it, enjoy it and don't worry about scuffs too much.

The scuffs are what make the watch yours. Appreciate them. If you don't like them, then don't rub your watch against things.

Scuffs always look good on a watch, imo. Adds character and charm. It's a watch's natural patina.

I wear mine in rotation since May, I'm pretty careful but it's enevitable. The first scuff was the hardest, I freaked out and went for the cape cod but haven't worried or touched it since.

same here...first one freaked me out and I've been coping better now. I wear mine in a rotation as well. I love it but I swear my old jubilee bracelet could take a beating and not look and worse for the wear

The only person who will notice or see the scuffs is you. From a few feet away, no one will see them. You should train yourself to live with them and enjoy your watch, think of each and every scuff on it as a sign of forming a lasting bond between you and it. (or find some other philosophical reason to enjoy the scuffs and scratches! :) )

Just wear it and don't worry about scratches. It will pick up scratches no matter how careful you try to be with it so there really isn't any point obsessing over it. It is normal to get freaked out when you see the first scratches appearing on a new watch, but you will soon stop worrying once it gets a few more scratches and you realise that they don't ruin the look of the watch at all but just make it more personal.

Wear mine every day. Leave the scuffs alone.

We all know how you feel. You spend thousands on a watch and then it starts to get nicked and scratched. You see it as taking away the luster and value of the watch and it pains you...

Then you start to realize they are not that bad. You wear the watch and enjoy it, not worried about the littlest thing that happens and you bond with it and soon, you don't see the tiny scratches, you just see your nice watch.

Like Faz said, only you really notice them. Live with them and enjoy your watch. It's a tool to be used and enjoyed.

With all those high polish suffices scratches scuffs come with the territory. The opposite a DD bark you can't see any marks or scratches.

I would and do notice and dislike scratches and scuffs. The reality is that it will happen. Like a lot of things in life, get good with it because you can not change it. Enjoy a cool watch.

Worn daily M-F since May of 2017 in a commercial kitchen. Better than expected I’d say.

The only time any Rolex watch needs any sort of a polish is normal RSC routine service every 5-8 years depending on wearing habits. The sure way to ruin any Rolex is wanting to polish everytime you see the slightest scratch.

Just let knowing that scuffs can be removed set your mind at ease and wear away.
