Rolex White Gold Ceramic Daytona 116519LN

In light of the stainless watches seliing at a premium, I am contemplating trading in my black Daytona for the White Gold Ceramic Daytona 116519LN.
I this a trade i should consider? I also have a white face daytona which i will keep!
Thanks

Everyday new high. If purely in light of earn a premium I will just hold it, and at the end it is a beautiful piece.

However, in reality assuming you love the new WG piece more, so just do what you like!

Would trade the white dial Daytona? That way you will have a more versatile collection IMHO

The white gold Daytona is a great watch that I would prefer over a ceramic SS. I would move one of yours.

Is it a straight trade or do you have to put money in the deal? For a straight trade I would do it absolutely.

SS value at the moment is great, yes. But you're still looking at adding $8k-10k to make the deal.

Not saying you shouldn't do it. The 116519 is amazing!

Here are some pics...

I'd take the steel panda dial on white golds over any of the stainless modern Daytonas.

Definitely,
I have both the Daytona white face ss and wg oysterflex and they compliment each other very well as they wear very different.

Yes, I believe I would do that one. But only if adding the WG is totally out of the question as opposed to flipping. Good luck,

I think kings of old had it right. Use the iron to collect gold!

Bought three Daytona for my wife. She only wears the rose gold. In pictures the crisp black/white/SS stands out. In reality though gold just looks better on the flesh. The human eye is drawn to the warmth of gold, even white gold. It's in our DNA.

Nice collection there RTG.

OP, I'd look at it as two different transactions. Do you want to sell the watch and get the current market premium? If so, fine, do that.

Do you want to buy the WG watch at current market discounts? If so, fine, do that.

If yes to both, then work out a good trade.

The gold just has a warmth about it. A subtle statement you are comfortable in your decision in spite of the scarcity of SS.

Even selling your SS Daytona, you may still have a tough time getting a 116519 from an AD as even these have lengthy waiting lists! In the end, I ended up moving a few pieces to fund the WG 116519 and don’t regret it but still do wish I had the d500 white.

Do it! I love my 116519LN, it’s my favorite Rolex. As previously mentioned, I’ve heard through a number of ADs as well as through word of mouth that these are hard to come by at the moment. Obviously no problem through greys, but they aren’t discounting much off list. I think a lot of people are taking the upsale given the SS shortage.
