I hope you’re safe. Very dangerous hurricane!

Prayers sent your way. I was just spared in SC by Florence. We evacuated for the hurricane and then the following week for the flooding. We're on the Intracoastal Waterway and thankfully were spared from damage both times.

Looks like it might wipe out some of my favorite beachside places like Pineapple Willy's and Captain Andersons. I hope everyone stays safe!

We are not in direct eye path, however, are on the outer bands of dirty SE side in adjacent state expecting high winds/gusts, dangerous when tall pines give up waving in them. Warnings out to expect damages. Association trucks everywhere inspecting right of ways.
Thanks for well wishes.

Those dang 80 foot tall pines are what inspired us to evacuate for Florence. During Hurricane Matthew (1 week after we moved to SC by the way) in 2016 they looked like spaghetti noodles whipping in the wind. No thanks.. Glad you are not taking a direct hit but don't let your guard down, hurricanes are sneaky.

Wow. Seen a few videos of Panama City and Mexico beach. And my dad owns a mobile home that he rents in Chipley, FL. Owners say they are sheltered in the bathroom, but the roof was blown off. I also have a rental only a few miles from there as well. Hoping others are ok too. So sad to see all the destruction.

Michael is very bad! We should be OK here along the SC coast. The last thing we need here is more rain. Many people around me are still dealing with major flood issues!

Here in South Georgia we're getting some pretty impressive wind and rain. Already got some large limbs limbs down, but no trees . . . yet.

Looks like I'll be getting in some chainsaw time tomorrow.

Sad seeing the reporter from The Weather Channel broadcasting from the steps and balcony of The Consulate, our favorite place to stay in Apalachicola. Water was coming up the steps until he finally had to report from the second story balcony.

The buildings along Water Street which parallels the river are old. Hope they recover. There's a lot of history there.

We are supposed to have some friends visiting this weekend. They may not be able to get here. Hopefully all in it’s path are safe.

Hang in there! Living in south Louisiana I’ve had my share of these things. I always picture the “old days” when people had no warning these things were coming. We run North and make a vacay out of it

Have friends in Warner Robbins and they're expecting a mess.
Wind damage concerns, mostly, but they're expecting some flooding as well.
Looking at the radar map, appears the storm eye is on top of them as I type.

These are pictures I found of Marianna, FL. I do watch work for a store In the same block as the second pic. I also grew up and know many friends just West one town over. Lots of damage. So sad.

Same spot in Google Maps before
