Incoming!

Hello all!

My first Rolex was a 116613lb, bought last year in October. Soon after I bought it I joined this forum. I sold it after about 8 months of ownership.

As you all know, browsing this forum really teaches you a lot and opens your eyes to other watches.

After a while, I didn’t know what I wanted anymore haha

After looking at lots of pictures on this forum and online, and reading things here and there, I have finally purchased another watch.

Thanks to all of you for posting pictures, stories, questions, articles, videos, old advertisements...

Thanks for everything.

Here’s to hoping that this one is a keeper

I don’t know if I would say that i “flipped the Bluesy” at all.

I bought it, loved it for a while, then I started feeling that it wasn’t for me, specially after a vacation that I took. I felt that it was a little too “flashy” for me.

I sold it.

Looked around for a while, tried on different watches, then tried to go for a simpler approach and here we are.

Congrats! Gosh I have a similar situation where I want dozens of different watch styles after digging deeper into the watch world and learning about different brands.

From personal experience the DJ is also quite blingy. The Jubilee and the fluted bezel do shine a lot.

I was thinking exactly this as I was trying to decide which Datejust to go for.

In the end, I went with the jubilee because I enjoy the jubilee on my skx007, and figured that I should try a jubilee made by Rolex.

Having chosen that, I didn’t feel that the jubilee looked good with a domed bezel, so I went with the fluted bezel. Plus, I like how to fluted bezel ages as well

Then it was on to picking a dial :)

Yeah it’s tough!

When I joined the forum, I was kind of mind blown because I joined with a one watch kinda guy mentality and lots of members want more than one and already have more than one.

Then as I browsed more and more, it became difficult to not want more than one haha

Also, for anybody interested, the AD had 2 Milgauss, one 116619lb, two Tudor GMT (one on nato, one on leather strap), and one two-tone GMTii, the new rose gold version

Send me a PM for the AD info if you’d like.
