Let's See Some Vinyls, CDs and Cassettes.

Not sure if anyone would like to participate, but I thought it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to the old fashioned way of listening to music.

Maybe it's a good time to find that old record you love, take some pics, share it here and listen to it again.

I got rid of my old records long ago. However when purchasing music I always get the CD and then rip it to my computer. I've yet to purchase anything for just download. Guess it's old fashioned but I still have to have the physical media for anything I buy. I currently have about 17 gigs worth of music to choose from.

With the invention of Sonos and streaming I decided to move all my old media out. It’s certainly helped to declutter the house.

A nice part of the experience I really miss! I haven't been buying CD's for a long time but this thread certainly made me nostalgic. I loved having the booklet that came with each CD, oh, and the way the printing process made them smell!

Vinyl art and packaging was a whole lot better.

Oh man, I have several of the mobile fidelity recordings packed away. Memories. I remember when they came on white vinyl to alleviate any impurities in the pressing.

Too many and huge variety including metal mothers, which are the Stampers that actually make the vinyl records that people are posting. Here's a fun little picture disc I thought you guys might enjoy. For those curious, here's a video I made at one of the major pressing plants of the highest quality of vinyl here in America

That was a great video. Loved to watch the whole process. I could smell those records from a distance. Vinyls smell really good when you open them. More or less the same you have with a new car. Dory looks interesting too lol. Thanks for sharing Steven.

We display our LPs on the wall in the living room. We love the album art. I'm mostly a Metal Head but love almost anything. Listening to Earth, Wind and Fire - Gratitude right now.
