Considering ROO 26405CE
I had a chance to try it on this past weekend and really liked it. I’ve tried on a number of ROOs from 42mm to 44mm ones, and this is one of the few that has stood out to me. I’m seriously considering putting my name down on the wait list at my local boutique (the one I tried on was already spoken for). This will be my first (and likely only) ROO.
For those of you who have or had this watch - do you continue to love and wear the watch, or did the novelty of it kind of wear off? One minor hesitation I have is whether I’d be better off finding and getting a pre-owned rose gold 26401RO for about the same price. But I think I prefer a ROO to be a bit more under the radar (though I realize no matter what color/material, a 44mm ROO will always be somewhat noticable). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

AP's ceramic brushing is superb so this is a great choice. I do prefer the dial of the RG, esp the reverse panda dial, but as a stealth monster this is hard to beat.

I am a current owner of this watch and I love it. I never owned an AP before this one, and I ordered it without trying it on from the boutique. I also tried on a number of other 42mm ROO and 44mm ROO watches, but opted for the ceramic without getting to try it on first.
The watch is pretty low-flying in terms of bling factor. I love that I fly under the radar for the most part. People either think it is a Hublot or a gShock. If you're looking to stand out this likely isn't the watch for you, but if you want a full ceramic badass piece, I would recommend it from my experience. Hope this helps and good luck. |

My ROO 44 CE (anthracite dial - not the updated version) is my most frequently worn AP. I find it to be a very versitile - very good with a suit and great for casual wear

Thank you for all the helpful comments. Very reassuring! Frankly, I think the rose gold and Ti ones are objectively cooler looking watches, but for some reason, I don’t like them as much as the CE when on my wrist.

Also the fact that it is light and virtually scratch proof makes it easy to wear on vacation as I never take it off even to sleep, swim etc.

I thought about trading my 26401 rose gold (first gen) for the new ceramic (roughly even trade) but I can never get myself to follow through. I just love my rose gold too much.
That said ... I am tempted every time and I can’t seem to abandon the thought.

OP, try the Anthracite dial as mentioned above by HK, that dial is killer and more interesting against the black CE for me. |

I went through the same exact situation while in the NY boutique a few months ago. I was never really a fan of ROO until the lady let me try the all ceramic on.
Unfortunately it was already sold to another customer but she mentioned if I put a deposit down now I will have it before the end of the year. I did exactly that, looking forward to getting it! You should do the same! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

RG is the way to go if the bling factor (which is not that big tbh) is manageable. For me the RG offshore is the ultimate luxury sports watch. Then when adding a second (!!) the CE comes into play.

As you say, RG is really not that blingy. It doesn’t fly under the radar but it doesn’t scream either.

I own this watch. Bought it new a few months ago. Its the most worn out of all my watches. Simply stunning and I love it.
I wouldn't personally trade it for a Rose Gold one. This is the stealth bomber of the watch world. Ok ok maybe there is no way you can describe any 44mm ROO as stealthy but im sure you get the point! |

I went into the Venice boutique specifically to try this watch on - made the mistake of trying it side by side with the rose gold ... absolutely gorgeous watch but ended up grabbing the rose gold.

If I was gonna get a 44, that’s 100% the one I would go for

Deposit paid today! I had another look at the RG one, but I think I prefer something a bit less noticeable.
Delivery might not be till 2019, but I’m not in a big hurry. Thanks for everyone’s comments! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Got the call from the boutique this past weekend and went to pick-up the watch on Saturday. I haven’t wanted to take this watch off since and I find myself continually looking at the watch and admiring the brushed finishing of the ceramic. The nearly three-month wait was well worth it!
