Snowmobiling...

I think I've found my new hobby. I've been obsessed with sledding for years, but never had my own growing up. This year, we had one dropped at our house for storage in the summer, and the owner never came to pick it back up. After replacing the drivebelt, sparkplugs, and chain oil, cleaning the varnish out of the carb, setting up the brake and adjusting the idle, I have myself a fun toy for the winter. I have to say I've never had this much fun in my life, I grew up on motorcycles and dirtbikes, and this beats even blasting my CR250 around. I've been out around my house alot, but one night my friend came with his trailer and 3 of us headed out to Rockton Ontario to do some sledding. The night started off badly when I was standing on my sled starting out of the driveway, and the throttle stuck wide open. I slammed chest first into a metal fence post that was horizontal to the ground at around 30km/h, I continued on with the sled until the post caught the chin of my helmet and ripped me off, and the sled proceeded to smash into a 100 year old stone wall. Long story short, I was pretty dazed for about 15 minutes, then all was well, took a couple aspirin and we were back out. Did about 60k over 1.5 hours and had a great time. Camera batteries died cause of the cold so I didnt get that many pics. The last picture is the aftermath of the fence hit.

My messed up visor. If I wasnt wearing a helmet, I probably would have ended up in the hospital.

I've yet to go out during the day so I can get some decent pictures. Lets see some of your sledding pictures.

I've actually not been out once during daylight this year. I usually go out after work, and its dark by the time I get home.
