Icon20 What Reference is this Pepsi and is it real?

Hello All

I am asking this for a friend who want to sell it to buy a car.

He wear it almost 7 years and he got it as a gift from his church pastor. The watch is perfectlly fine to the owner knowledge.

I looked at this watch and its looks authentic and "real" but I am an "Omega" guy so I am a bit in the dark of what to look for to identify Reference and authenticity in Rolex. I must admit that this watch really looks nice.

I will post some pictures I took and I appreciate any help you can give.

Sorry for any grammar errors... English as 2nd language.

Thanks
OreN

Wow! If you can’t trust your pastor, then who can you trust.

OMG the old "friend needs a car, got it from a pastor" story.

Backside = several suspicious tells.

What Reference is this Pepsi and is it real?

I’m no 16710 expert, but I wouldn’t touch that watch.

Looking at the bezel alone:
- dots between numbers way too far away from crystal
- there should be no red paint inside the 8 in 18
- The midnight triangle is completely wrong
- Color wrong and painted instead of anodized

Caseback - where to begin? SELs wrong, caseback wrong, angles all wrong

I am truly surprised that this watch lasted for seven years. Also, why would a church pastor even have this watch let alone give it to a parishioner?

The clasp is missing engravings and the font isn't even close. Font is all wrong the bezel too (clearest difference on the 4's). Looks like whoever made this didn't try very hard on the fonts at all.

There is a certain beauty I find in a pastor passing along a fake watch.

Isn't it amazing how scammers can never take a picture of the watch, full face on.

By the way, thank you Pastor.....
