I have seen between 24-26. 21 is barely over list on a piece that most can’t even get in the list, at least in NYC. Could be perfectly fine but only from someone I trust.

LOL, how do ya'll know market value? You have seen them actually sell for more? Are you watch dealers?

OP - $21k is fair it's not high it's not low either, you are paying full MSRP + TAX + a small mark up for the broker which seems fair in today's climate. Your not getting a deal but if your stuck on the blue dial it's one way to go about it. Question is do you want it that bad. Have you tried them on in other colors?

As a reference point a pre-owned one recently sold for $16,850 within 1 day of listing.

One need not be a watch dealer to determine what the watches are listing for....and dealers aren't stupid; they won't list it for $5K over market.

$23675, preowned:
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?p=9128199

So new would certainly expected to be north of that.

Big different between what dealers ask and what they are actually selling for, same story different prices for private sellers. Besides my example I saw another Blue dial from local private seller got for about $17.5 pre owned.

List is not transaction price. Market is softening.

I didn't say list is transaction price. I said they aren't gonna price them at $5K above what they're willing to sell them for.

Proof market is softening?

Post some photos of the watch in question and good movement shots. Be sure to buy the seller. It’s a good price in the current market.

I am looking for one myself. There is one in classifieds asking 23.6K. The one before that a few months back was asking 26. Maybe market is softening. Then again, maybe not but I am still going to be looking at around MSRP for one of these.

SDWatches has one listed for a little under 24 for a 2015 preowned. But yeah market is definitely under 17k.

I think 21k is less than what the market is currently paying for pre owned blue 15400's.

I will be putting my 15400st blue dial up for sale soon, just serviced from AP and I am the original owner purchased in 2017. Not a single scratch and looks brand new. For reference, I was planning on listing around $23k.

JC Why would a 2017 mint need to be serviced?

Wanted to have the watched polished so there wasn't a single scratch, there was no issue mechanically. To polish it they need to service/re water pressure test it since they take the watch apart. Was not a full service.

21k is quite a bit under market as others have said. Buy the seller and if it's too good to be true..... ya know. I smell another story about being scammed upcoming.
