Final Incoming

Well, after years of collecting I decide to condense my collection down to a few pieces. Some of you have been following a couple of threads, one on turning in all my watches and the other on what people thought about the Daytona 50th Anniversary watch in comparison to other PM pieces I was considering. At any rate on Tuesday the decision was made and yesterday at about 4:30 PM I picked up what I hope to be my final Rolex. The collection was pared by 19 watches and I bought this and a DJ for my wife as a Christmas gift.

And one final shot, er, photo...

Spectacular, and congratulations, lot of work went into your decision.

From reading, you rotated your entire old collection, added some cash, and ended up with this iconic reference.

Totally get the ease of just rotating it out via one point - did you end up being satisfied with the price for your old collection?

Looks great on your wrist, enjoy!

Boom! I totally approve. There is a short list of candidates for the "one" Rolex a man is gonna have, and that one certainly makes the list.

Congrats again, I hope you continue to stay on this forum and contribute with your knowledge and experience. I am heading in the same direction as you I think. It will most likely happen when I retire in a few years. Please keep us posted on how it goes over time as you wear this as your main watch.
