Another nfl woman beater.

So the chiefs and nfl did the right thing releasing Kareem hunt. But my problem is they knew about this in February. NFL has the best investigators Money can buy. How could they of not seen the video by now. Do we really believe once again tmz is the only people that could get the video. So disgusting lets hope this doesn’t show up so we won’t have to fire this guy. I’m sorry but if your making millions of dollars a year and kids look up to you then you should be held to a higher standard than most. They say she used a terrible nasty word that condoned him. I’m sorry no matter what a woman calls me I will never hit a woman. My father taught me better than that. So what is really up with the NFL and why is it typically the nfl that has this issue. Is it the violence in the game that causes this behavior ?

I am on the outside looking in but I feel that sometimes football players have a hard time turning off the switch from on to off field behavior.

Another part of me believes it has something to do with concussions etc....I am no expert, just my two cents.

Either way like yourself I do not condone this

Well let’s not forget this was a 19 year old girl I believe. They were letting her party with them. I would be a pretty pissed off father seeing that video if that was my daughter also. She has a lot of explaining to do when her dad finds out

Funny thing was he has plenty of chances to just walk away and closed the door. But she probably did call him names etc. he should have known better. Thought he was in the clear. Now today is one of the worst days of his life I bet. Jobless for now and one of the most hated men in America for the week

They need to make an example of this guy. Out for life, instead they will send him to some counseling and therapy and make it all better. Where is the police on this? Shouldn't he be prosecuted? This is one of the reasons I stopped watching the NFL after 40+ years.

Did you guys watch the video? There were people holding him back and she kept on and on and on. So ridiculous. Still, he should've walked away from it all. Probably would've had to lock himself in his room to get away from her. The hardest hit was actually from two others wrestling and bumped into him, which pushed her into a wall pretty hard.

Wonder if any of the players are willing to kneel in protest of the way some of their union brothers treat women?

I get what you’re saying, but you don’t think players and men in general having been beating on women since forever.

And cop beatings and shootings and god knows what else. And walking while black, and driving while black.

Nothing new here except for camera phones and social media.

Yeah, she is belligerent. But there's a massive strength difference between an elite NFL running back and this 19 year old girl. He has no excuse for raising a hand against her. A non-idiot would call the front desk, ask for her to be removed, and give her back her personal belongings.

Correct, nothing new. However what makes this resonate differently is the fact that these guys are well paid and in many cases admired by fans. They get caught doing something horrible and they often pay a minimal price. The punishment needs to be harsher. Examples need to be made. Period.

All 969 you are 100 percent correct. Women beaters are little punks.

The chance of that happening is exactly ZERO.

Sadly, this was my first thought too. Someone will pick him up within the week.

I just saw the video, he’s getting picked up for sure. Maybe not right away, but he will absolutely play in the nfl again. That video was not nearly as bad as i expected. Horrible, terrible, horrific but not bad enough for that business to say “ banned for life”. We have seen way worse make it back to the field.

Not to mention the fact that athletes have enjoyed a certain level of special treatment where this kind of thing as well as rape allegations and such has been covered up by colleges whenever possible.

Besides not that long ago there was a Baltimore running back which may have gotten away with assaulting his girlfriend or wife had the video not been made public.

Yup, I remember that. The major turn off is the win at all costs attitude. Even if we need to hire a felon to do so. Very low set of standards if any. Different times.

The offenders have not only been athletes but they certainly have had their share.

I’ve never understood how/why an individual gets pleasure from WATCHING OTHERS chase a ball, of any sort, around !

If you read all the “NFL kneel threads”, you’ll understand where some of these reactions are coming from....

From what i understand, the police were called, saw the video, interviewed the parties involved and didn't arrest him...thus no charges filed.

Why? This is clearly battery.

I was suckerpunched at a bar a few years back and the cops arrested the guy and the state prosecutor threw the book at him. I didn't even have a bruise on my face, but there was video and they went ahead with the charges regardless of my wishes.

The court of public opinion considers these acts by sports figures to be unspeakably heinous (which of course they aren't good in any way), but the police and the legal system generally seems to be "meh"....not that big a deal..off you go.

Why the disconnect?
