Dropped their Rolex for an Apple Watch

Well, I guess it does happen. Although, the Rolex was a gifted watch...

Welp, I'm parting with my Rolex which my wife bought me for an anniversary gift 8 years ago. It's the genuine, real-deal Rolex Datejust with stainless steel sport band in 36mm diameter. It's a man's watch of course. And it's in fantastic condition. Very clean, works like a charm.

I moved over to the Apple Watch several months ago, and the switch is permanent. I shall not be wearing the Rolex anymore. Too fancy for me anyway. Everyone always notices and comments on it and it makes me a bit self-concious that I'm showing off.

If you go on the Toruneau website, which is a top specialist in pre-owned timepieces, you can find some reference prices for this model of watch, though the bands will usually be different. This has a very slick sports clip band that makes it very easy to put on and take off.

For instance... https://www.tourneau.com/watches/pre...-VRX36500.html

I will be happy to meet you at a jewelry store to confirm this watch is the genuine article. I work across the street from Lenox Mall and I live in Dunwoody near Perimeter Mall, so there are plenty of jewelry stores that can confirm its authenticity. Call or text David at (seven seven zero) 286-7351. I'm negotiable on price. New Rolexes are pushing $10 grand, used are in the $5 grand territory. Come make this beauty yours for less than that!

Put some serious effort into it.

Selling expensive item on Craig's list? Didn't a bunch of people got robbed that way? I remember reading about it a few times.

Sounds like an invite to a mugging for an unwary buyer.

Here in ATL metro we’ve had too many bad deals with thugs using Craigslist to lure people into robberies and worse.

So I can’t imagine this CL listing being legit and or a seller this stupid to boot.

Shit, I wear a bluesy and hardly anyone ever comments on it. Seriously, I could count the number of times on one hand in 2 years of daily wearing.

Agreed. And the ATL section is loaded with fakes too.

What's with the:
1. Sub clasp?
2. Ill-fitting end links?
3. Date magnification?

That watch looks sketchy to me.
