Is this watch worth 14k

My wife liked the Daytona that has the black bezel and white face but I’m
Not willing to pay 20k plus on the watch. I came across this watch for 14k fresh polish and service is this in line with current pricing. I know zero about dayontas

Looks very nice. As for pricing. If it’s worth it to you that’s all that matters.

My advice would be to shop around and don't jump in straight away.

There are cheaper options out there...a quick Google turned this one up, I have no idea who the seller is or anything about it, I'm just using it as an example.

Good luck finding the right watch, be patient, it will come.

I can tell you this......
This one will look outstanding on her. Very classy on women with this particular configuration. Don’t think 116500 would look good.
I’ll never forget the first time I saw a lady with one on. It was pure class

Two answers. Yes, a 116520 is definitely worth 14k.

However, if you're not buying from a seller you trust, then you don't really know what you're getting or what kind of shape it's in. My two cents, YMMV.

I know nothing about Daytona’s. She wants stainless steel so I figured I would jump on the old forum. It’s only worth 14k to me if that is not over paying but the watch already sold so no worries now

It was from an AD. It was a watch they took on trade and refinished to answer the above

Perfect advice. Also, if you're feeling that you're compromising at all, then don't get the watch. Get the one you truly want.

The TT Daytona looks very classy on women

The panda TT is gorgeous and is usually cheaper

They wear well for women / on the small side... buy the seller and don’t rush

Not to me. You could get two haute horology Mosers on the used market for 14k.

In terms of chronos, the movement is prolly one the the best out there. As for the looks, white Daytona may be hard to read.

The price sounds right on the money to me. My AD offered me a 2012 520 black dial near mint for 14k last month from a personal friend which i declined not being a Daytona fan.

I think it's a great deal for this time period... 2 years ago the 116520 was selling around 10,500 I would ask that you check and see if it's a legitimate and reputable seller.

The price is fair especially if those are the correct papers in the background. Most people are asking more so check the buyer out before purchase....

This seems to be a very good price. Four days ago we were at the AD where we purchased two Daytona’s 3 years ago. The sales person told us our Daytona’s are selling easily for $20K. But we love them too much to consider parting ways

Hmmm.... not sure. Why drop 14k on something that hasn’t caught her eye? Does she also really like this one? Why not promise to get her the one she wants at MSRP?
