A very special incoming after 12 hours
I am about to visit my incredible AD after 12 hours. She phoned me.
This is a very special incoming for me.
Why?
Three reasons:
First: According to Watchfinder this watch was ment to be the watch to be worn on the Moon (well... Omega won that race). That’s why there is the word ”Cosmograph” for cosmo; the space cosmograph. Rolex was copying Omega’s Speedmaster with the design. When Rolex didn’t win, they changed the plans and added afterwards the name ”Daytona” so that this watch would be linked for racing (Daytona Beach) instead of the Moon&space (cosmograph). I am thrilled for this fact, because I’ve been carried away with this whole Moon&space&Apollo -themes through Omega Speedmaster.
Secondly: This watch is linked with The Legendary Paul Newman.
Thirdly: This watch has been in numerous iconic movies including ”Leaving Las Vegas”; my favourite line from the movie (amazing Nicholas Cage):
”500$ for a 93 Rolex Daytona... I’ll do it!”
What could be this watch, any guesses? Colours&material?
Before I’ll get this watch (yeah; I sold my TT version of this reference), I have to count the time with my Speedy.... 12 long hours to go....

Looking forward to seeing your pic wearing it.

I treated myself to one of those last summer for my birthday. Of all the watches I have ever owned, that 116508 remains as my favorite.
